Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch Nov. 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, putting its release exactly one month away when The Game Awards posted its countdown on Oct. 19, 2026, UTC. Rockstar's Oct. 15 launch-trailer announcement reiterates the release date and platforms.
The trailer returns to Vice City and centers on Jason and Lucia, whose failed score pulls them into a criminal conspiracy spanning the state of Leonida. Rockstar says the trailer also features new music from Justice, which composed the game's original score.
Take-Two's preorder announcement lists the standard edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99. Digital preloading begins Nov. 12, one week before launch. Take-Two says the physical edition, which contains a download code, will also be available that day to support preloading.
