Keep Driving is opening its pixel-art road trip to player-made detours. Developer YCJY Games announced that official Steam Workshop mod support will arrive on September 28.
The feature will not immediately roll out to every player. YCJY Games plans to release it first as a beta update on a dedicated Steam branch so the two-person studio can gather feedback. Instructions for joining the branch and full patch notes will be shared closer to launch. The announcement does not yet spell out which parts of the game players can modify or what creation tools will be available.
Steam Workshop gives games a built-in place to distribute and subscribe to community-made content. For Keep Driving, the studio says that support will let players tailor their own adventures. Rock Paper Shotgun notes that unofficial tinkering has already produced ideas as ambitious as replacing the game's cars.
Released on PC in February 2025, Keep Driving is a management RPG built around maintaining a car, picking up hitchhikers, taking odd jobs and navigating turn-based roadside obstacles. YCJY Games says the game has sold 300,000 copies. September 28 will also bring Keep Driving to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, giving the game its console debut on the same day its PC mod beta begins.
