SteamDB Acquired by Nexus Mods Owners

Rock Paper Shotgun reports that SteamDB founders announced the sale of their community-run database to Chosen, the owners of Nexus Mods. The article headline quotes the founders saying the internet they once loved is gone. Chosen states that SteamDB will keep its own name, brand, community, and identity for now. The news spread through a post from the gaming site that included a link to the full story and an image of the Nexus Mods logo. No other details on the transaction appear in the public posts shared so far.
