Reigns and Card Shark developer Nerial is shutting down after 13 years

Gematsu reports that Nerial’s founders and Devolver Digital agreed to end development at the studio after 13 years and 11 published games. Kotaku reports that seven of its nine employees are being let go and Devolver will retain rights to its existing games. Founders François and Tamara Alliot plan to take a break before making games together again; François told Kotaku he wants to regain some creative independence.
