Final Fantasy XIV Free Period Ends Next Week on Switch 2

Nintendo Life posted a PSA that the free subscription period for Final Fantasy XIV Online's full version on Switch 2 ends next week. Polygon reported the same development and stated a paid subscription will then be required. The Nintendo Life post added that players can keep using the free trial version without charge. Both outlets frame the change as the close of an initial free access window for the MMO on the new hardware.
