The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered will unlock at the same moment worldwide on September 29, 2026. CD Projekt Red's official release map puts that moment at 3 a.m. PDT in Los Angeles, 6 a.m. EDT in Boston, 11 a.m. BST in London and noon CEST in Warsaw.

Players farther east will get the game later on the clock but on the same calendar date: 6 p.m. in Beijing and Singapore, 7 p.m. in Seoul and Tokyo, 8 p.m. in Melbourne and 11 p.m. in Auckland. The map also lists GOG, Steam, Epic Games Store, Battle.net, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.

Who gets the free upgrade

CD Projekt Red's launch announcement describes Remastered as a free upgrade for existing owners on qualifying PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms. Nintendo Switch 2 gets a native version, while Battle.net becomes a new PC storefront for the game.

The package includes the base game plus Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. CD Projekt Red made those two existing expansions available at no additional cost to base-game owners when it announced Remastered in August.

What the remaster changes

The official game page lists upgraded textures, foliage, lighting, rendering and ray tracing, along with performance work. Gameplay changes include revised combat animations, new finishers, an adaptive camera, improved traversal and movement, revamped mount handling, enhanced monster behavior and a redesigned skill tree. Cross-platform mod support, transmogrification and an expanded photo mode are also on the list.

CD Projekt Red is co-developing Remastered with Yigsoft, a Hungarian studio that previously worked on Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Complete Edition. The publisher presents the update as a modernization of the existing 2015 role-playing game, not a new adventure replacing Geralt's original search for Ciri.

This release does not include Songs of the Past. CD Projekt Red describes that as a separate paid expansion arriving in 2027, with a new region called Letten and a story centered on Geralt's next journey after the existing two expansions.
