Rockstar Games is turning Grand Theft Auto VI's launch into a record release, too. The company announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, a 34-track collection of original music made with Atlantic Records and due Nov. 19 alongside the game.
The lineup reaches from hip-hop and electronic music to pop, country and rock. Contributors include Travis Scott, Future, Metro Boomin, PinkPantheress, Fred again.., Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro, Yung Lean and Keith Richards. The album will be available on streaming services, vinyl and CD.
Six songs are already out. They include Yung Lean's "That's It" with Future and Metro Boomin, Travis Scott's "RHYNO," the multi-artist collaboration "Sexy Magic," Morgan Wallen's "Last Thing You Need," Rauw Alejandro's "Macacoa 2000" and Keith Richards' "Bright Lights, Big City." TechRadar reports that a limited-edition liquid-filled vinyl set sold out shortly after the announcement, while other physical versions remained available for preorder.
The album is not the whole soundtrack
Rockstar describes the release as 34 original tracks inspired by Vice City and Leonida, but that does not make it a complete list of every song players will hear. The studio says more information about GTA VI's dynamic score and the next version of its in-game radio will come later.
That distinction matters for a series whose radio stations mix licensed music, fictional hosts and talk programming with original scoring. For now, the announcement establishes the album as a companion release built specifically around the game, not a full accounting of its audio.
Map leaks remain separate and unconfirmed
The announcement landed amid another round of discussion about purported GTA VI development material. PC Gamer reported in August that gameplay clips and images said to show Leonida's map were circulating online. Rockstar had not confirmed the material, and the outlet cautioned that even genuine files could reflect an outdated build.
Those leaks do not establish what the final map will look like, and they are not evidence for the album announcement. The confirmed news is simpler: Rockstar has put 34 original songs around its biggest release of the year, with six available now and the rest arriving when GTA VI launches Nov. 19.
