@JezCordenFor users here, here's an overview of how Xbox's disc-to-digital program works ICYMI. - Put the compatible Xbox disc in an Xbox One or Xbox Series X, open the tile with the menu button, claim the code. - If you run the game from the disc, code is claimed automatically. - If you give the disc away/sell it, the license transfers to the new user. - If you re-acquire the disc, it comes back to you. - It doesn't over-write your digital copy if you already purchased it. - No digital "check in," it's tied to your account like any digital copy. - Xbox Play Anywhere, cloud, etc. More thoughts on the future of the program in the video below! https://www.windowscentral.com/gaming/xbox/heres-how-xbox-disc-to-digital-works-in-practice-with-video

@KotakuUpdate: Ubisoft appears to have added its games to Xbox's disc-to-digital program overnight, but games like Kingdom Hearts 3 and Elden Ring remain MIA. Xbox did not respond to a request for comment about whether it's still negotiating with some publishers or is simply adding games in batches during the testing phase. https://kotaku.com/xbox-digital-licensing-disc-sega-ubisoft-square-enix-2000732117
