Xbox announces paid cloud playtime test for eligible Insiders without Game Pass

Xbox describes the paid packs as ad-free, with shorter wait times, high-quality streaming and playtime that remains available until used. Insiders can also try cloud gaming for free with ads, Xbox says. That is a separate option from the paid packs.

Availability and purchasing options vary by market, device, account eligibility and preview ring; eligible games and features can vary, too. Xbox says players need a supported device and either a purchased cloud-playable game or access to select free-to-play games. The company plans a broader rollout in November 2026.
