TLDR

In an October 14, 2026 post, HYPEX described a new Epic Games Launcher with native Linux support and a public preview expected soon. The post claims faster startup than Steam and describes new library views, collections and download tracking. HYPEX says installing the preview removes the old launcher while carrying over purchases, installed games and cloud saves; Epic recommends keeping the old version for Fortnite and Rocket League for now, according to HYPEX.
