Switch 2 reportedly tops Japan's hardware sales for Oct. 12-18, 2026, with 21,854 units

Switch 2 led Japan's reported hardware sales for Oct. 12-18, 2026, with 21,854 units, according to Gematsu's account of Famitsu's estimates. The PlayStation 5 family sold 10,667 units, the original Switch family sold 4,857 and the Xbox Series family sold 229. Switch 2 is counted separately from the older Switch models.

Gematsu's model-by-model chart lists 10,392 weekly sales for the PS5 Digital Edition, 156 for the PS5 Pro and 119 for the standard PS5. The chart puts a lifetime total in parentheses after each model's weekly figure. For Switch 2, that lifetime total is 6,430,827, not another week's sales.
