Equipment Stolen from Indie Devs at Gamescom

GameSpot posted that Ryan Laley, creator of the indie game Mimic, said all his equipment was stolen from the business area at Gamescom 2026. CD Projekt Red reached out to offer replacement hardware. Kotaku reported that iam8bit also had laptops stolen at the event and called the incident hugely disappointing for the company and its development teams. The linked Kotaku article states the Mimic creator and others had equipment taken from booths overnight.
