Assassin's Creed Valhalla gets a free update with New Game+

Ubisoft announced on Nov. 5 that a free Assassin's Creed Valhalla update was available, listing New Game+, Extended Progression Mode and PS5 Pro optimization. Ubisoft calls it “The Most Requested Update,” a label it gives the patch rather than a documented measure of demand.

PlayStation's announcement lists “Upgraded PSSR for PS5 Pro” and New Game Plus, but calls its progression addition “Enhanced Progression Mode.” Neither Ubisoft nor PlayStation explains what the progression addition does or clarifies the difference between those names.

XBOXWire describes the free patch as enhancing the game's endgame experience and adding New Game+. Its post does not explain how the endgame changes work.
