Tim explained the game frustrated him so much he never wants to play it again and that even seven figures would not change his mind. Other posts in the conversation noted that creators of Tim's size regularly receive such offers. Replies mentioned the deal required only four hours of play and discussed how the money could have gone to smaller streamers or charity.

@jacobnewtronTimthetatman discusses why he turned down a six-figure hashtag ad with ARC Raiders: "If that deal was 7 figures, 'Hey Boys, Welcome back to ARC Raiders & Subway'. For me that game frustrated me SO MUCH that I never want to play it again. To a point where six figures couldn't get me back on it."
@RabbleWranglerTurning down 6 figures to play one of the biggest selling games in the last year for a a couple hours. Meanwhile, I streamed an AI generated anime themed text adventure game for an hour for 2 figures…
@DrunkNakathat streamer life must me nice when you've made it big
@StutteringCraigStreamers: tHeY'Re jUsT LiKe uS🥴
@InGameMenuJust a quick note to set a bar here: For a creator like Tim, 6-figure deals come into his inbox regularly. I know it's strange to some and old hat to others, but he is being transparent in saying his disdain for the game is enough to turn it down even if it were for a good cause.
@falloutplaysmust be nice lol
@ZeroEmerald@falloutplays Fucking hell, apparently all he had to do was play for 4 hours. He could have just done it and donated the 6 figures to charity or something.
@UhKnope@falloutplays That would be life changing to get that kind of deal 😭
@leopardstealthHim turning that down opened up 100s of activations for smaller streamers, right @ARCRaidersGame?? Checking my email now 🥰
@PxlKaiiWhat kills me is he barely touched the surface on ARC Raiders. Hes an example of what you shouldn’t just stay doing in the game. It has so much to offer but he only did 50% of it. Even if theres no content until October, he still continued to do the bare minimum. Most streamers did actually and it’s sad 🤷🏻‍♂️ Cheaters at the time were an extreme problem because you stayed in one place (same map, same style gameplay, same way of protecting your STREAM) But he did nothing. Yeah who cares bro. You didn’t deserve the six figures anyways!
