LEVEL-5 has put a full playthrough of the Tokyo Game Show 2026 demo for Holy Horror Mansion online. The 27-minute video published by Gematsu offers an extended look at the studio's self-described “ghost craft RPG” after its public showing in Japan.
Tokyo Game Show ran from September 17 through September 20 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. Gematsu reports that organizers had planned a fifth day but canceled it because of severe weather. The new video preserves the complete demo rather than cutting the showing down to another short trailer.
A camera that turns objects into allies
The official Holy Horror Mansion site says its young hero lives in a mansion atop an apartment building owned by his grandmother. After finding a camera in a locked room and encountering a ghost, he is pulled into a larger supernatural mess.
That camera, named Cameron, is the center of the game's crafting system. Players can photograph objects and bring them to life as Mononoke spirits. Blueprints then combine smaller items into fusion Mononoke, giving the premise a literal construction loop rather than treating the creatures as conventional collectibles.
The Mononoke are not all friendly. LEVEL-5 says battles use cards to issue commands to allied spirits and outmaneuver enemies. Those three connected systems, photographing objects, fusing new allies and directing them with cards, explain the “ghost craft” label more clearly than the name alone.
