TLDR

Praise for Asha Sharma’s Xbox leadership centers on player relations: one post credits her with lowering Game Pass prices, restoring exclusivity and improving transparency, while another says she personally handled customer-service complaints. Criticism of Sony focuses on its communication and an alleged plan to end physical games. The first post calls for a leadership overhaul and apologies to players and Hideo Kojima, while cautioning that corporate actions matter more than promises.

@RinoTheBouncerIt’s crazy how XBOX was technically over in the eyes of most players, just few weeks/months ago, and PlayStation was thus untouchable industry and community darling🚀 Look where we are now. Ever since Summer Games Week and there hasn’t been a single good news coming from Sony ❌Plan to end physical games ❌Mo communication with players ❌Holier-than-thou attitude ❌Layoffs ❌Disappointing ❌Burning bridges with Hideo Kojima ❌Disappointing look at Project Espresso ❌Pure greed and disdain for players Meanwhile Asha Sharma has been doing everything she can to resurrect XBOX, it’s basically Lazarus Box: ✅Lowered Game Pass prices ✅Brought back exclusivity ✅Removed “This is an Xbox” branding ✅Being more transparent with players ✅Collaborating with Kojima on OD & PHYSINT Now I can’t say I trust any multi-billion dollar corporation, and ultimately it’s the actions that speak louder, but it’s refreshing to see someone trying to make things positive, and build bridges with players. Sony needs a total reform. 👉Fire your current CEOs and execs 👉Overturn ending physical media 👉Shawn Layden & Shuhei Yoshida as CEOs 👉Apologize sincerely to Hideo Kojima 👉Apologize to players 👉Be transparent We wouldn’t have it any other way NO KOJIMA 🫡 NO BUY NO DISC 💿 NO BUY
@AI_EmeraldAppleWhat a crazy few days in the world of gaming... > IGN layoffs are hitting, cutting into several departments, with cost-cutting continuing. >Asha Sharma revealed to have been handling some customer service complaints to better understand player sentiment and problems. CEO wanna know the customer... based! >Marthon is slowing down development to "focus" on quality, but we know shutdown or long-term life support is coming. >Wolverine from Insomniac has been turned into a bad meme, and Sweet Baby Inc involvement in that game has now been confirmed in the credits, launching tomorrow... can't wait to fucking clown on that shit. >Steam Frame reservations opened, but early sentiment is poor because of the high price and lackluster features. >Polyarc, the game developer behind MossVR, shuts down... who? what? Never heard of them lol >Level 5 was exposed as having used GenAI in their showcase; the CEO apologized as if it's a problem... which is stupid to do. Don't apologise for AI in 2026! >People are cancelling game subscriptions like Game Pass, and 40% of players are saying they are getting too expensive. > PlayStation drops PHYSINT, and then Xbox and Asha pick it up for development at Xbox instead. >GTA6 drama continues due to the aftermath of the leaks and more tea spilled about Rockstar in 2026. >The gaming streamer Jacksepticeye is exposed as a deranged leftist. >Oh, and don't forget that new study that's making the rounds again that's showing mental health and cognitive IQ benefits for gamers. Just seems like major waves are happening in gaming now, and IMO these are healthy. Bad games are getting exposed; good CEOs are scoring major Ws, smaller, more agile game studios are making the AAA studios look foolish.
