Team Liquid beat LYON 3-1 in the 2026 LCS Summer final on Sunday, winning the title and, according to multiple reports, locking up the LCS first seed for Worlds and North America’s No. 1 Worlds spot. Dot Esports reported that the win also ended Inspired’s five-title streak, while Sheep Esports said Team Liquid “will be North America's #1 Seed at Worlds.”
The result itself is consistent across the supplied reports. Dot Esports, Field Level Media and Sheep Esports each reported that Team Liquid beat LYON by a 3-1 score in the grand final.
Field Level Media reported that the title run was undefeated through the LCS Summer playoffs, which gives the championship a little extra weight: Team Liquid didn’t just finish the job in the final, it reached the trophy without dropping a playoff series.
Beyond the title itself, the bigger takeaway is what the win means for Worlds seeding. Dot Esports described Team Liquid as taking the LCS first seed for Worlds, and Sheep Esports similarly reported that the team will be North America’s No. 1 seed.
