Germany’s USK ratings board has classified Grand Theft Auto VI as unsuitable for anyone under 18 on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles.
The USK database lists separate entries for both platforms. The PS5 edition was classified on Oct. 13, 2026, while the Xbox Series edition was classified on Sept. 13. Both entries name Take-Two Interactive GmbH as the publisher.
Why GTA VI received the rating
The USK cites graphic violence, drug content and criminal role models. Its guidance says criminal acts or organizations may be portrayed uncritically, trivialized or glorified. Both entries also flag in-game purchases.
Under the USK system, “not approved for young persons aged under 18” is its 18-and-over classification.
