An initial Oct. 28, 2026, eShop search for ‘Haunted Paws’ reportedly showed ‘Ghostly Whiskers’

After Nintendo’s October 2026 Indie World showcase, Kotaku writer Kenneth Shepard initially found Ghostly Whiskers while searching the eShop for Haunted Paws. He later saw Haunted Paws and its demo appear there. Kotaku quotes developer Lazy Flock accusing the cat game of copying its work and using AI-generated assets; that remains an allegation. Nintendo announced a May 2027 release window for Haunted Paws.
