End of Abyss set for October 1, 2026, launch on Xbox Series X|S
Shacknews praises the game's eerie atmosphere and exploration, but says some combat feels like busywork.
TLDR
Section 9 Interactive says End of Abyss is set to launch October 1, 2026, on Xbox Series X|S. Players guide combat technician Cel through an underground facility, fighting creatures and upgrading her gear. The studio says the game evolved from a top-down shooter into a slower adventure focused on atmosphere and exploration. Shacknews praises those elements and the sound design, though its review finds the combat uneven.
