Kirby Reveal Draws Smash Disappointment Yet Switch 2 Slate Wins Fan Praise

A user posted a side-by-side comparison of second-year software for the original Switch and Switch 2. Replies noted the Switch 2 side includes a new Donkey Kong, a new Mario Kart, and stronger third-party titles. Several users expressed disappointment with the Kirby trailer, saying they expected Smash or Mario content instead. Others replied that the trailer showed standard Kirby 3D models and was never intended as a Smash reveal. One user called the amount of Kirby criticism surprising given the clear series style.
