Xbox aims to simplify game review access as Modern Warfare 4 lacks an Xbox Metacritic score

Insider Gaming reports that Xbox CTO Scott Van Vliet said the team is working toward letting press and creators redeem review codes and play with fewer steps. Modern Warfare 4 had too few Xbox Series X|S reviews for a Metacritic score, while other platforms had scores. Kotaku reports that reviewers disagree about whether the extra steps affect their platform choice and notes that PC review codes usually arrive earlier.
