A Grand Theft Auto VI display case has appeared on a UK retail shelf, another small sign that the game’s physical marketing is moving into stores ahead of its November launch. A September 23 post from @videotech identifies the store as a Currys location and credits the accompanying photo to Yousaf.
The photo shows a PS5 case beside a £69.99 shelf label. It does not show Currys branding, so the store identity remains an attributed report rather than something the image independently establishes.
Posters and preorder signs are appearing too
The case sighting fits a wider, if still limited, retail rollout. Rockstar-focused outlet RockstarINTEL reports that its co-founder visited a UK retail park and saw an A1 GTA VI poster outside a store, along with A4 preorder sheets inside a Smyths location. The outlet says selected retailers received the display materials from Rockstar Games and Take-Two, but neither company had publicly detailed that specific poster rollout in the material inspected for this story.
RockstarINTEL also says the poster’s PEGI 18 badge is provisional and that a final rating is still to come. That distinction matters because the shelf and poster materials are promotional displays, not a new ratings announcement.
The box contains a download code
Take-Two’s official preorder announcement explains what these cases are selling. The physical version contains a download code rather than a disc and becomes available November 12 so buyers can preload before the November 19 release. The company lists PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as the launch platforms.
The same announcement says GTA VI will be sold through global retailers and storefronts, though it does not name which UK chains will carry display materials.
The retail evidence is therefore concrete but modest: one attributed Currys display, a separately documented poster and preorder setup at a UK retail park, and publisher-confirmed code-in-box availability. It does not establish that the same materials have reached every chain or location.
