GOG manager hopes to let customers order physical PC games

GOG's senior business development and partnerships manager, Marcin Paczynski, has described a way customers might one day order physical versions of games through GOG. In a GamesRadar+ interview, he called buying physical games through GOG his dream, Neowin reported.

His ideal scenario starts with a customer's GOG shelf. “You go to your shelf on GOG, you click on the game that you would like to receive a physical copy of, you order it, and it gets to you,” Paczynski said, as quoted in Neowin's account of the proposed ordering process. “That would be a perfect scenario.” He was describing what he hopes GOG could do, not an ordering option customers can use.

Paczynski listed logistics, storage and “additional approvals” from publishers among the hurdles of physical media. He called the idea “a very, very complicated thing” and said it has been discussed at GOG for years. “I really hope that at some point we will be able to do it,” he said. “We'll see.”
