Shov turns a browser into a remote control for live pneumatic gun turrets

Shov has built an online shooting game around hardware that responds in the physical world: players use a phone or browser to aim and fire a real pneumatic gun turret at targets inside a US shooting range.

The company describes the equipment as full-auto turrets firing .68-caliber “less-lethal” rounds. Each match lasts 90 seconds, with the winner determined by confirmed target hits. There are 12 positions in the arena, and Shov says AI takes any empty seats so every round still runs as a 12-turret contest. The range is livestreamed around the clock, allowing spectators to watch without joining a match.

The price appears to be changing

Dexerto reported on September 24 that a regular match cost five credits, or $5, and that $100 bought control of all 12 turrets in a private arena. Shov's current product page instead labels a normal round “FREE” and promises unlimited ammunition. The site does not explain whether that is a launch promotion, a permanent change or a limited free queue.

That difference matters because the service is still defining what a remote physical arcade looks like. The system mixes a familiar browser-game loop with live machinery, a public video feed and automated opponents rather than simulating the action entirely on a screen.
