Kiwi Talkz Warns GTA 6 Flop Would Hurt All Funding
Game interviewer Reece Kiwi Talkz Reilly posted that investor pullback after a GTA 6 flop would reach AAA, AA and indie titles.
TLDR
Reece Kiwi Talkz Reilly wrote on X that anyone hoping GTA 6 fails needs a reality check. He stated investor confidence would evaporate and that backers would stop funding AAA, AA and indie games. Multiple replies disputed the scope of the effect, argued AA titles were already dead, questioned whether indies rely on the same investors, or claimed success would encourage higher prices and fewer features. The original post remains the only first-party claim about industry-wide funding consequences.

LimeY6@LimeY_6@GameRoll_ If it harms the industry to a point where it'll show we don't want those predatory stuff happening in our games, then that's good! No idea why you can't see that rationale, funnily enough. And I'll support the market crashing again if that's needed for it to happen.
ST StrawberryShakeMan@ManStawberry@Smittt34 Yeah, the corporate dick riding really is at an all time high right now. Sad to see the AAA games industry go down this path. 🤦
SO Sonofdredd@sonofdredd@TaroTheCerelean If investors left the video games industry, I'd be sooooo happy.
ST Steve@hrgiger44@TheNCSmaster They have a negative % chance of failing.
