TLDR

Noctis is heading back to Final Fantasy XIV when the Final Fantasy XV crossover “A Nocturne for Heroes” returns from Sept. 24 through Oct. 13. Players can earn the four-seat Regalia Type-G mount, a Lucian Prince outfit, the Lucian Locks hairstyle and orchestrion rolls. The event requires a level-50 character and completion of “The Ultimate Weapon.” It is the same quest line previously offered in 2019, 2021 and 2024, but this will be its first run since FFXIV launched on Nintendo Switch 2.

Noctis is taking another road trip through Eorzea. Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XV collaboration event, “A Nocturne for Heroes,” returns to Final Fantasy XIV on Sept. 24 at 1 a.m. PDT and runs until Oct. 13 at 7:59 a.m. PDT.

The limited-time quest line pairs players with Final Fantasy XV’s protagonist and brings back its existing reward set. That includes the Regalia Type-G four-seat mount, the Lucian Prince costume set, the Modern Aesthetics - Lucian Locks hairstyle and a collection of orchestrion rolls.

Players need a level-50 character, excluding limited jobs, and must have completed the main scenario quest “The Ultimate Weapon.” The official event site directs eligible players to Kipih Jakkya in Ul'dah’s Steps of Nald to begin the crossover.

This is the same event that appeared in 2019, 2021 and 2024. Players can continue any unfinished progress from an earlier run. Those who already completed the event can use the seasonal event replay feature to revisit its quests, but they cannot earn the rewards a second time through replay.

The 2026 return is also the first version available to Nintendo Switch 2 players. Final Fantasy XIV launched on Nintendo’s console on Aug. 4.
