PlayStation's October 16 character spotlight describes Owen as the perfectionist host of Dead True, the ghost-hunting crew at the center of Until Dawn 2. The game's official cast list names Dacre Montgomery as Owen, while the product page describes Dead True as a secretly skeptical group whose viral stunt lands them a television deal and a trip to an abandoned island resort.
A September preview from Firesprite creative director Stu Tilley calls Owen Dead True's cocky star and outlines one of the sequel's branching decisions. The trailer puts him between following a signal to help his missing friend Nate and crossing a rickety bridge to investigate a bar. PlayStation says choices can steer characters toward safety or death rather than locking the scene to one outcome.
Until Dawn 2 is scheduled for PS5 on January 28, 2027. PlayStation lists it as a single-player game developed by Firesprite and says the sequel is a standalone story with a new cast; Dr. Hill is the only returning character.
