TLDR

Multiple outlets report CD Projekt Red posted an update confirming a 2028 release target for The Witcher 4. The announcement appeared in official promotional material ahead of Gamescom. The studio stated it will not appear at the event and will not show a new trailer. A separate first look at The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past is scheduled for Gamescom instead. The joint-CEO and promotional graphics cited in the posts establish the 2028 window as the current confirmed timeline from the developer.
