TLDR

Zenrotwo posted that claims of FF7 Revelation, FF Resonance, an OoT remake, and a Zelda rerelease bundle being bad amount to cries for likes and retweets. Replies from users including Zweiwalker89607, TheNCSmaster, exe_files_, KevinStreet96, and ShitpostRock discussed how social media favors negativity and grifting. One reply noted praise for the Resonance demo while another defended consumer backlash against remakes and rereleases.

@ZenrotwoTwitter is miserable man FF7 Revelation is bad FF Resonance is bad OoT remake is bad Zelda rerelease bundle is bad Everything is bad and slop, give me likes and retweets I need them I hunger for the online recognition that gives my life meaning for 24 hours
@KevinStreet96"FF7 Revelation is bad FF Resonance is bad OoT remake is bad Zelda rerelease bundle is bad"
@zweiwalker89607Yeah man some people dislike things
@exe_files_The “Twitter hates everything” shtick doesn’t work with Resonance, there’s been nothing but rightful praise for it from just the demo
@TheNCSmasterSo much of it ties back to how social media rewards negativity above all else, especially in recent years when grifting has become way more glorified I’m legit convinced it’s hardwired a lot of people to be more negative, even about the hobbies they supposedly like
@deon_lt@Idontcare987123 @SimonsFinalBoss I think the point I'm making is after seeing the backlash they got, they might have felt a more faithful remake would have been better. I too am loving FFVII remakes, but it feels like consumers will always find a way to be unhappy, and sometimes, they can be doomed regardless.
