Sony appears to be testing PlayStation Store promotions that return part of a game's purchase price as wallet credit. Eurogamer found reports of the offer on selected listings in the United States and other territories, but Sony has not announced a wider rewards program or published general eligibility rules.
The clearest example came from a US Reddit user shopping for The Blood of Dawnwalker. Both the Standard and Eclipse editions showed an “includes wallet credit” message with a September 29 end date. The user later reported receiving $10 in PlayStation Store credit after completing the purchase.
That example establishes that at least one displayed offer paid out, but it does not establish a universal reward. Eurogamer could not determine why some customers saw the promotion while others did not, and the report does not identify a fixed percentage, account tier or territory-wide rollout.
More games, but no complete catalog
The Blood of Dawnwalker was not the only title mentioned. Players also reported wallet-credit messages on Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, Star Wars Zero Company and Halloween: The Game. Some sightings came from outside the US, suggesting that the apparent test is not confined to a single national storefront.
The visible terms may still vary by customer, game and region. The September 29 deadline belonged to the observed Blood of Dawnwalker listing, while Eurogamer did not report matching expiration dates or reward amounts for the other games. Anyone considering a purchase would therefore need to rely on the offer displayed on their own account rather than assume that another player's promotion applies to them.
The larger program remains unconfirmed
Eurogamer notes that PlayStation Lifestyle found a PlayStation Store app called Wallet Credits in February. The name fits the current offers, but neither outlet's finding proves that Sony has connected the app to a formal loyalty program.
Store-credit incentives themselves are not unusual. The report points to Microsoft's use of the same basic approach on the Xbox Store, including a recent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 preorder promotion worth $5 in the US or £4 in the UK. What remains unusual here is the absence of public PlayStation terms explaining the offer.
Until Sony provides those terms, the observed promotions are best understood as a limited and uneven test. The available reporting supports the individual listings and the reported $10 payout, but not a general promise that every buyer, game or region will receive wallet credit.
