'There was some really fair criticism': Arc Raiders' devs understand why players were so upset about its AI use but admit that it was 'too impractical to record' every voice line

TLDR

Embark used actors' recordings to generate lines for pings, quests and mission briefings in Arc Raiders. Its audio director says recording every ping variation was impractical and scheduling actors for new lines could be difficult. The studio has been replacing some generated lines with actor recordings. Voice actress Diana Gardner said her contract seemed fair but questioned whether she could claim ownership of the final generated performance.
