Xbox Game Pass rumored to drop day-one first-party games in 2027

A post citing a ResetEra rumor says Xbox Game Pass could stop offering first-party games at launch in 2027. The rumored overhaul includes a $3 price cut from $22.99 to $19.99, an ad-supported tier and a family plan.

A user quoting that post argues the service could still be worthwhile at the right price, thanks to older big-budget games, indie discovery and other perks. They frame it as a shift toward a PS Plus Extra-style catalog and ask whether losing day-one access would make subscribers cancel.
