Others listed slurs aimed at women, Black players, and queer users, plus rape jokes, game-throwing when a woman is identified, and threats of violence. Several said short bans for toxic behavior leave them preferring silence. One player who mains Squirrel Girl asked publicly whether she should use voice chat and received the answer no. A reply noted that fem and queer players commonly skip mics to avoid sexism and hate.
