CD Projekt Red Dev Says Witcher 3 Expansion Was Dead for Years

A CD Projekt Red developer stated that the Witcher 3 expansion Songs of the Past was dead for a while. The team was heartbroken when their story disappeared into the vaults. The developer added that good things take time and that this accounts for the ten-year gap without expansions. In a separate report the voice actors playing Geralt and Dandelion said they learned of the expansion only when it was announced publicly and had no prior knowledge of the project.
