The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) issued lifetime ineligibility to Counter-Strike 2 player Oliver “kzy” Heck after finding anti-corruption violations involving match manipulation during four NOMERCY matches at Roman Imperium Cup VII. It also gave five-year bans to János “James8k” Fodor and Petar “perakokanje” Bešir, and three-year bans to Palkovics “2xplayN” Tamás and Sreten “srtn1” Smiljanić.
The investigation covered four best-of-one matches on March 28 against BetBoom, Sangal, BESTIA and Wildcard. ESIC said betting intelligence identified a structured, high-value combination wager targeting a minus-9.5 round handicap across all four matches, and each result aligned with the targeted outcome. Its evidence bundle included a data-partner report, gameplay review, player analysis, communications, financial material where produced and participant responses.
ESIC said no single gameplay error, transaction or communication determined the case. It cited Heck’s leadership and calling role, veto involvement, repeated gameplay involvement and complete non-cooperation as material to his lifetime sanction. HLTV reported that NOMERCY lost those four matches 0–13, 3–13, 1–13 and 1–13.
