Borderlands team announces 100 million franchise units sold

The Borderlands team announced on Nov. 2, 2026, that the franchise had crossed 100 million units sold. Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford reportedly predicted Borderlands 4's launch would put the series over that mark, but the announcement does not say when the threshold was crossed or give sales for that game alone. The team is working on more Borderlands 4 content for 2027.
