Permanent Pokémon store planned for London by 2029

The Pokémon Company has announced a permanent Pokémon retail store for London, VGC reports. The company says the store is due to open by 2029 and calls it the first of several permanent Pokémon stores planned outside Asia.

Nintendo Life reports that the company promises exclusive merchandise and “one-of-a-kind experiences for Trainers of all ages.” Gaku Susai, chief product and experience officer at The Pokémon Company International, said he hopes the store becomes a place where people can come together and feel part of a community.

London would not be the first Pokémon retail location outside Asia. VGC notes that Pokémon Center New York operated from 2001 to 2005, and says the company has not called the planned London store a Pokémon Center. The exact London location has not been announced, VGC reports; Insider Gaming says details of other store locations will be shared later.
