A photo shared on September 24 shows a PlayStation-branded Grand Theft Auto VI retail display that the uploader says was spotted in Shinjuku. The screen carries the game's logo and a November 19, 2026 date above PlayStation cases and preorder signage. The post does not name the retailer or give an address, so the location remains the uploader's firsthand claim.

The date on the screen matches Rockstar Games' official listing, which schedules Grand Theft Auto VI for November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The photographed fixture is PlayStation-branded, but that does not make the game a PlayStation exclusive.

Why the display carries two dates

The photo also shows November 12 on a physical preorder placard. That earlier date is consistent with Rockstar's current support guidance: physical versions are expected to begin shipping or pickup on November 12 so buyers can preload before the November 19 launch.

The “physical version” is a box containing a digital download code, not a game disc. Rockstar says the code can be redeemed as soon as buyers receive it, with preloading beginning at local midnight on November 12. That makes the earlier date a distribution and preload milestone rather than a separate release date.
