EA Sports FC 27's Standard Edition launched worldwide on September 25, bringing this year's football game to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. EA's edition guide separates that global launch from the September 18 early-access period offered with the Ultimate editions.
The broad platform list comes with one important split. The Grounds, FC 27's new shared social space, is available only on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Switch 2. PS4 and Xbox One receive the main game but not that mode.
A football hub for up to 100 players
The PlayStation product page describes The Grounds as a shared playground organized around a central Terrace and three districts inspired by different football cultures. Up to 100 players can occupy the space, meet friends, play Kickabouts or small-sided matches and connect the activity to Clubs progression.
That makes The Grounds more than a menu for choosing matches. It is meant to give Clubs members a place to gather, compete and develop their club between games. EA still treats it as a current-generation feature, so cross-generation buyers should not assume every mode carries back to PS4 or Xbox One.
Defending, transfers and collections change too
Outside The Grounds, PlayStation lists dynamic corners, enhanced attacking movement and manual defending designed for competitive play. Manager Career's transfer market has been rebuilt around more active club bidding, while negotiations can include performance and buy-back clauses. Dynamic overall ratings also respond to form, morale and fitness.
Football Ultimate Team adds a Gallery for collecting favorite player items, raising a Gallery level and earning rewards. Players who only want a limited sample can also try FC 27 Lite, a free preview with select modes such as Kick-Off; EA scheduled it for September 25 at 16:00 UTC.
