FluidNinja announced LIVE-2 after three years of development, describing the Unreal Engine tool as a free download through its community server.
The Fluid Ninja LIVE listing on Fab describes LIVE-2 as a September 2026 upgrade built for responsive character and environment effects. It can produce water, fog, smoke, clouds, fire, sand and snow, using 2D simulation to drive 3D visuals and align liquids and gases with terrain.
The listing says the complete project supports Unreal Engine 4.26–4.27 and 5.0–5.8 on Windows and Linux. It also warns that LIVE-2 is not a drag-and-drop tool, estimates a week of learning, and leaves multiplayer replication for users to configure.
