Atari plans to close the VCS store Feb. 1, 2027, with console support to end after an OS migration

Video Games Chronicle quotes Atari community manager Carly Francis saying VCS games will be available for purchase through Jan. 31, 2027, before the store closes Feb. 1. Atari plans an OS update to move functionality to owners' machines and an Atari Home Brew app for adding games independently. Francis said platform support would end after the migration, but gave no date for that transition.
