Previews indicate GTA 6 cars will feel heavier with limited air control and no easy flips.

TLDR

@SynthPotato reported that previews from TGG and others at Rockstar confirm cars in GTA 6 feel much heavier than in GTA 5 but not as heavy as GTA 4. Flipping cars back upright is no longer possible and air control is far more limited. @TJGM welcomed the change away from GTA V's arcadey handling. @QuietTomato preferred the new behavior over cars exploding when flipped but wished for a way to right them like in Far Cry. Other visible replies on X expressed mixed views on whether the shift improves realism or removes fun.

@paloma_datgirlI hope GTA 6 gets rid of this ridiculous car flipping, gravity defying, arcade crap. I want actual consequences when my car flips, without being able to roll the car in whatever random direction I tilt my joystick midair, or magically flip it back over when it’s upside down on the ground.
@SynthPotatoConfirmed for GTA 6: Being able to flip cars like this is gone according to TGG and other previewers who saw the game at Rockstar. The car physics mechanics are confirmed to feel much heavier than GTA 5, but not as heavy as GTA 4. Air control also seems to be far more limited.
@DenzelFortniteYall deadass want rockstar to make a boring life simulator game
@NotDestructorGTA 6 is hot garbage and Rockstar fanboys are dumber than a bag of hammers. https://youtu.be/e8Iz1cGbotg?si=70ZS9jbBDldDkQJZ
@6Busch9@DenzelFortnite It’s like they want gta to lose its identity. This game is just a realistic version of the franchise. People are expecting way too much.
@Super_Saiko77Nah it should stay, I don't wanna ditch my perfectly good car just because I happened to flip it over
@TJGM_Really glad stuff like this isn't returning. GTA V felt like it shifted a bit too much to the arcadey side as a result of the complaints regarding IV being too realistic/gloomy.
@NezzzoooThis shit helped me a countless amount of times fam
@CyberVapor1978Its weird because 99% of the cars ive ever drove in GTAV were stolen vehicles i got after i pulled an NPC out the car & stomped their head in the pavement then unloaded a clip in their face So the question really boils down to... did these woke mfers take the GTA out of GTA bc literally Noone is gonna be stopping for fuel when your on a heist or mission... the entire concept of refueling sounds more like a driving sim game instead of a game about criminal activities
@QuietTomatoI actually like this instead of the car magically blowing up when flipped in previous games, but I wish they let you put it back in place like in far cry
