Evercade's leaked December cartridges are now official. Blaze has confirmed The Last Ninja and IK Collection and James Pond Collection, and pre-orders for both are live, according to Time Extension's September 24 update.
Both physical collections are scheduled for December 4. Time Extension lists a UK price of £24.99 for each cartridge, with pre-order links through Amazon UK. The report does not provide US pricing.
The Last Ninja and IK Collection's advertised count of 14 refers to game versions, not 14 entirely different titles. Its lineup draws from six games: The Last Ninja, Last Ninja 2: Back with a Vengeance, Last Ninja 3, Ninja Remix, International Karate and IK+. Multiple home-computer ports are included for several entries, allowing the same game to appear in more than one historical version.
That approach matters for releases from the 1980s and early 1990s because home-computer ports could differ substantially in presentation. Time Extension's report points to Last Ninja 2 as an example, contrasting its Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum audio. The collection turns those platform variations into part of the package rather than selecting a single version of every title.
James Pond Collection is smaller and more straightforward. It contains four games: James Pond: Underwater Agent, James Pond II: RoboCod, James Pond in Operation StarFI5H and the sports spin-off James Pond in The Aquatic Games. Together they cover the original platform-game trilogy and its aquatic competition detour.
The cartridge should not be confused with James Pond Legacy: The Pond Is Not Enough, a separate collection in development at System 3. Time Extension specifically distinguishes the two projects, so the Evercade release is not a renamed edition of that broader package.
The September 24 confirmation closes the main uncertainty left by the earlier retail listing: the two cartridges are genuine products and can now be ordered. The practical details that remain depend on region, particularly pricing and retailer availability outside the UK listings cited by the report.
