GTA IV now has a community mod that adds DLSS and FSR upscaling and anti-aliasing alongside HDR support. The author, ChunkLeChuck, describes DLSS-IV on Nexus Mods as a way to improve the game's visual treatment and performance, but that performance claim comes from the mod listing rather than independent benchmark testing.
The listing identifies version 1.0.4 as the current release. It was originally uploaded on September 20 and updated on September 21. FusionFix is listed as a requirement, so this is not a one-file replacement for a stock installation; players will need that dependency in place before treating the mod as ready to use.
What the current release changes
The mod's headline feature set is support for Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR in a game that predates both technologies, plus HDR. In version 1.0.4, the author says Radeon RX 7000- and RX 9000-series cards receive FSR 4 automatically, while other cards get FSR 3.1.5. A new fsr_version setting lets users choose FSR 3.1 instead.
The same update moved Nvidia's DLSS file into the main download. The optional file is now only a DLSS indicator. The listing also documents a few maintenance details that matter for existing users: it says community FSR 4 builds can be substituted by replacing a specified library, and users updating from 1.0.3 can remove a file that is no longer used.
DLSS-IV is still a mod, not an official Rockstar update, and its page does not provide hardware-wide performance figures. Its prior changelog does show the kind of compatibility work that can accompany a graphics injection: version 1.0.3 addressed screen flashing with certain other mods, a possible cutscene ghosting issue, and clearer logs for startup failures. That makes the release potentially useful for players who want modern upscaling options in GTA IV, while leaving results dependent on a particular setup and mod combination.
