Sega’s new Sonic Discord locks most chat channels hours after launch

VGC reports that Sega’s official Sonic Discord launched on October 5, but moderators restricted chat within hours amid inappropriate posts and spam. At the time of its report, eight of nine channels were locked to most users. One member claimed they were banned for writing “I like Super Mario,” though another suggested the large text may have been the reason. The server’s FAQ said aggressive auto-moderation may have accidentally banned users and promised to review those cases.
