Streamer Ventress posted that the amount of people in her streams telling her they left Fortnite this season is very high. She said she does not think Epic Games understands how bad SBMM hurts the player base and noted no change after multiple streamers spoke on the subject. One player said they went from playing every day last season to getting on maybe once every couple of weeks. Another called Fortnite SBMM the most insufferable it has ever been and said it ruins their mood when better opponents kill them. Separate posts repeated that SBMM ruined Call of Duty.
