An alleged 192GB archive of Rockstar Games development material has spread online, prompting dataminers to sift through what they say are unfinished assets from Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto VI. The cache has not been publicly authenticated by Rockstar or Take-Two Interactive, and its contents should be treated as unverified.
GTABase described cut GTA V audio, canceled features, outlines for a Liberty City map expansion and early development blocking for GTA VI. TJGM separately posted low-quality renders said to come from an early GTA VI map.
What the files may reveal about GTA V
Same-day reporting says researchers found technical map-zone data connected to a canceled Liberty City expansion, plus material associated with the long-rumored Agent Trevor story DLC. Other reported finds include cut dialogue, test vehicles and unfinished interiors.
The evidence does not show that any of those projects reached a release-ready state. Development archives can contain prototypes, test maps and abandoned branches, so the presence of an asset shows that an idea was explored, not that a finished expansion was imminent.
Early GTA 6 assets are not the final map
The reported GTA VI files appear to include rough environment models and map geometry. A detailed account of the archive cautions that early assets cannot establish the final game's locations, systems or post-launch plans.
Rockstar's official GTA VI page lists a Nov. 19, 2026, launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The company has not publicly confirmed that the circulating archive is genuine or explained how, if at all, the reported material relates to the version scheduled for release.
