Sam Levinson has signed an overall television deal with Amazon MGM Studios, shifting his TV development to the company after a run of projects at HBO. The Hollywood Reporter says the agreement calls for Levinson to exclusively create and develop series for Amazon MGM and Prime Video.
Levinson will work through Tiny Goat Productions with his wife and producing partner, Ashley Levinson. Variety reports that the pair will develop and produce television projects for Prime Video and other Amazon MGM platforms. The pact also includes executive producer services for Ashley Levinson.
The move follows the end of “Euphoria,” the Zendaya-led HBO drama Levinson created, directed and executive produced. The series ran for three seasons from 2019 through May 2026, according to Variety. Levinson's other HBO television credits include “The Idol” and “The Wizard of Lies,” while his film work includes “Assassination Nation” and “Malcolm & Marie.”
Peter Friedlander, Amazon MGM Studios' head of global television, praised Levinson's work and said the studio would give Sam and Ashley Levinson creative freedom and a global platform for their projects.
