Banned "The Office" Halloween Cold Open Resurfaces on Social Media
Dread Central reports NBC pulled the "Koi Pond" opening after its 2009 broadcast, not as a recent streaming edit.
TLDR
Dread Central describes the circulating clip as the opening to the 2009 "Koi Pond" episode, with Dwight dressed as Billy the Puppet and Michael staging a fake hanging at a haunted attraction for children. Citing "Office Ladies," the outlet says Jenna Fischer confirmed NBC pulled the scene after it aired, while Angela Kinsey said it wasn't included among the DVD's deleted scenes.
